Hello! My name is Catherine but most people call me Cat. I graduated from Parsons School of Design in Spring 2025 with a BFA in Fashion Design and a minor in Fashion Business. In my free time, I enjoy sewing, illustration, crochet, jewelry making, and most other crafts. I love going to museums, collecting vinyl records, drawing, and I have a very strong interest in fashion history!
During high school I made and sold handmade jewelry, crafts, and accessories online and at a local women's organization craft fair. I also interned in the education department of the American Museum of Natural History. I worked directly with visitors of all ages and backgrounds, facilitating the learning experience using objects from the museum's collection and my own interactive demonstration tools. Though I worked in both cultural halls and science halls, I focused my research and education sessions on textiles and weaving, connecting valuable historical practices to today's world.
I believe that fashion is a form of art, and that art is not to be taken too seriously. When you wear clothing that fills you with delight, that delight spreads to every person you encounter. Each day I dress (and design) with the goal of spreading joy, and my greatest pleasure would be for you feel that joy radiating from my art!
