About Me!

Nice to meet you!

I'm Cat Mednick, a fashion student at Parsons School of Design. In my free time, I love to draw, sew, crochet, make jewelry, and visit museums, antique and thrift stores. I have a strong interest in secondhand objects, music, art, design, and fashion history.

As a history nerd, I am very inspired by vintage fashion (particularly the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s), and this influence can be seen in much of my work and personal aesthetic. I love learning about and collecting analog media like records, cassette tapes, Polaroid cameras, and VHS tapes. I am a music lover, so much of my artwork is inspired by music and is best viewed alongside the song that sparked it.

I believe that fashion is a form of art, and that art is not to be taken too seriously. When you wear clothing that fills you with delight, that delight spreads to every person you encounter. Each day I dress (and design) with the goal of spreading joy, and my greatest pleasure would be for you feel that joy radiating from my art!
