About Me
Hello! My name is Catherine but most people call me Cat. I graduated from Parsons School of Design in Spring 2025 with a BFA in Fashion Design and a minor in Fashion Business. In my free time, I enjoy sewing, illustration, crochet, jewelry making, machine knitting and most other crafts. I love drawing, thrift shopping, collecting records, cassette tapes, and VHS tapes, going to museums, and fashion history!
During high school I made and sold handmade jewelry, crafts, and accessories online and at a local women's organization craft fair. While in college, I interned in the education department of the American Museum of Natural History. I worked directly with visitors of all ages and backgrounds, facilitating the learning experience using objects from the museum's collection and my own interactive demonstration tools. Though I worked in both cultural halls and science halls, I focused my research and education sessions on textiles and weaving, connecting valuable historical practices to today's world. I currently intern at AMNH as a Teaching Assistant in the Lang Science Program. My study of history, culture, and textiles are important influences in my artwork.
